OHCAYGO / MERGE PROOF
Terms of Service
Effective September 16, 2026
These terms apply to the Merge Proof hosted service operated by OHCAYGO. By using the hosted service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Questions: [email protected], or [email protected] if support is unreachable.
What the service provides
Merge Proof provides independent exact-state merge evidence for pull requests. It records what available evidence establishes about an observed head, base and applicable merge state. It is not an AI code reviewer and does not write or merge code for you. No AI model decides the verdict.
- VERIFIED: available evidence satisfies the implemented checks for the stated scope and exact observed state.
- NOT_PROVEN: the available evidence does not establish everything required. This does not mean bad, broken or unsafe code. Read the receipt’s gaps and limitations.
- CURRENT / STALE: freshness is separate from the original verdict. CURRENT means refreshed evidence still matches the receipt; STALE means relevant evidence changed. Without a fresh observation, currentness can be unavailable. A receipt is not an ongoing guarantee.
You remain responsible for reviewing the evidence, choosing repository policies and deciding whether to merge. Availability, supported GitHub evidence and technical capacity limits apply.
Trial, subscriptions and the free local tools
The hosted trial lasts 7 days, requires no card, and starts with your first CURRENT, collection-complete hosted receipt with a VERIFIED or NOT_PROVEN verdict. Connecting GitHub or installing the App does not start the clock. The trial is report-only; automatic proofs and re-proofs during trial do not enable new enforcing gates.
After the trial, Pro costs $29/month per active developer for continued hosted proofs, automatic re-proofs, GitHub Checks and inspectable receipts. Paid Pro supports optional administrator-configured enforcing gates. Stripe processes subscriptions and payments; review the quantity and recurring total at checkout before subscribing.
An active developer is a distinct human GitHub identity observed opening covered PRs or pushing covered commits. Bots, configured service identities and inactive organization members are excluded. One human counts once across a paying account’s installations. Initial pricing uses the preceding 30 days of observed covered activity; subsequent counts use the subscription month. Increases require confirmation, and quantity changes take effect at renewal without proration.
There is no automatic charge at trial end. Without a subscription, new hosted proofs, re-proofs and scans pause. Existing receipts remain accessible while you retain authorization, subject to product retention and capacity limits. If an administrator has configured a required Merge Proof check, pausing hosted access does not automatically remove that requirement or unblock merges.
Paid subscriptions renew monthly until canceled through the provided billing management flow. Cancellation is reflected in your billing account and paid access follows the confirmed subscription period.
The local CLI and GitHub Action remain free forever under the MIT license. The MIT license governs those tools; no hosted subscription is required to use them.
Authorized use and acceptable use
Only connect accounts and repositories you are authorized to access. Protect your credentials and respect others’ confidential information and intellectual property. Do not abuse, disrupt or overload the service, attempt unauthorized access, evade service limits, or use it for unlawful activity. We may restrict or suspend access to address abuse, security risks or violations of these terms.
Private hosted receipts require current authorized repository access. Uninstalling the App revokes hosted receipt access while preserving its history. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling and how to request deletion.
Limits and disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or that a receipt proves correctness, security or legal compliance. Merge Proof is not legal advice, a security audit or a substitute for testing and human judgment. NOT_PROVEN is an evidence result, not a finding that your code is bad.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, OHCAYGO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue or data arising from use of the service. Our total liability arising from the hosted service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid OHCAYGO for that service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
